Anyone on AgTwitter have a pic of their flatbed type service truck handy? Need to upgrade mine and I think a flat (maybe skirted) with boxes might be handier than the current standard service bed.

Could you imagine how busy elevators would be if they would have just said “hey farmers, no income tax this year. Keep it all.” Farmers would sell every bushel, hold pay be cashed, & take pay this year & not go buy equipment. Just bank it all. That would help more than anything

Just in time to give it all back in taxes
Disaster aid for farmers update Here is an update this morning. It sounds like payments are not nearly as high as what was initially discussed. Reports are $52 an acre for corn and $33.34 for beans; $ arrive by mid to late January. Caps reduced to $125k per individual/entity.

Worst part of a Drago so far. Why is this auger chain and drive not on the outside of the frame where it’s nice and easy to change? There is room. Could have made it an oil bath chain too.

Realized today that we went all through June and not many pics of dicamba cupped Enlist beans posted here. Remember it was AMS, heat, misapplied Enlist, just the way Enlist beans are, etc. Hmm. Something changed this past February and now no pics. It WAS dicamba.

Found a pickup I like. It’s used and has 3,000 miles on it. It’s 90% of the price of a new one. Let’s say $58k new vs $48k used to argue. Do you save $10k and buy barely used or just go new. Makes me wonder who traded it at 3,000 miles if something was wrong etc.

How’s harvest going? I’ll tell ya how harvest is going. Shorten hours to 5pm several days, then noon yesterday and today. 45 min after being open and this text comes. 😞 #harvest23

Bolt shears. Clean it all out and dig the coupler out and it’ll unload and sounds fine. Pull up to the next truck and start it and it’ll shear again

Brent 1080 grain cart. Keeps shearing pto bolts and it appears the top auger becomes disengaged as grain slugs into the coupler. Will check coupler good today to make sure it’s still welded in good. Nothing looks bent or broke. Ideas? Anyone else had this?
