No, because this Randal Grichuk ITPHR from just last Saturday was obviously out of the park, but they didn't review it so it stays as an inside-the-park homer. You have to score what is called on the field.
@ScoringChanges @SFGiants @Phillies Hypothetical situation…if the ball actually did go out of the park as a regular home run and they kept on playing it like in the video, would it be reviewed and the inside-the-park-designation be removed?.

🚨WILD PLAY ALERT🚨. You don't see this everyday, but the @SFGiants walk off the @Phillies on a stand-up inside-the-park home run by Patrick Bailey, costing Max Lazar what would have been his first career win. #SFGiants #RingTheBell

My thought is @TCtime17 and Google are both wrong. Let’s go over this. *Ohtani walks.*Betts reaches on an FC, but Ohtani is safe on an error.*Freeman doubles (Ohtani unearned, Betts is earned).*Hernandez 43, Freeman to third (one out but should be two).*Pages P3 (two outs,.
@TCtime17 @ScoringChanges Thoughts on this?.

It doesn’t happen that much anymore but yes it sometimes happens, but that what the appeal committee is for.
@ScoringChanges do you feel the scorers give hits to their home town guys? I honestly feel they give way too many hits.

The play in question is a foul tip and it just counts as a strike.
@awfulannouncing @ScoringChanges am I correct here or am I crazy?.

Did you really go to 1984 for that? In 1984, scorers were newspaper writers…the epitome of people who never played the game. There also was no oversight, no scoring manual, nothing. Scoring varied wildly from city to city and park to park. People want to complain and yes this.
@ScoringChanges @theaceofspaeder I call BS. I remember Brian Downing throwing a one to strike to Bob Boone and Boone whiffed on the ball trying to make the tag before the catch. Downing’s errorless streak continued and Boone was rightfully charged with the error. I’m not sure some scores have ever played this.

Exactly, and the committee overturned it against the written rule, which while sort of common sense, also isn't good precedent. Someone after that overturn asked if scorer's would change how they scored this play and I said no . you don't score to the committee when they.
@ScoringChanges Looks exactly like soderstrom last week.

Here is the play in question by Ryan, and as much as this is obvious that the catcher didn't secure this . the rule in place for scorers is if a thorw BOUNCES, it is a throwing error. I do not like applying this in this type of instance on a throw from the outfield, but right
That was called a throwing error on Wyatt Langford. @ScoringChanges be ready.

Pitch bounced so it’s a wild pitch by rule.
@BradGalli @ScoringChanges any thoughts on this being ruled a wild pitch and not a passed ball?.

So this is close enough that Clase touching the base constituted the out . had this not been bang-bang, or Clase missed the bag as well, then he would have to appeal that PCA missed the base and either tag him or the base, but you have to alert the umpire. You can do it as a.
This is an unusual play from a rules perspective. PCA beats the play but misses the base. Does this require an”appeal” before PCA gets back to the base? Rules guys?

for @zackiejoe and @soconnorsailing, I had a whole thread about that exact game here:
@zackiejoe @ScoringChanges @iTalkStudiosYT This is a different rule, though technically it “takes away” the save. Pitchers can have their win transferred to someone else if their outing is “brief and ineffective”.

They literally cannot do that and never have.
@CodifyBaseball Scorekeepers can literally take someone's save away if they feel like they didn't deserve it. Tell me in God's planet how that can be a thing and this guy gets a save.
