Life update:. I'm moving to Denver! I just bought a house and I've got a new 900 square feet I can play around with for a new (and much larger) Youtube studio.

The Intel ARC B580 beats the RTX 4060, RX 6700XT, and even gets *close*, to the RX 6800 in Doom the Dark Ages according to @TechPowerUp at all resolutions. Seriously Impressive stuff from the Intel ARC team.

Possibly even better news. Here is an in-stock Intel ARC B580 for only $50 over MSRP, a first since January. I've been monitoring this deal since Monday and it also has yet to go out of stock. Bots haven't gotten to this one yet either.

RX 9070 XT in stock for $100 above MSRP so far for an hour since being posted as a deal on reddit. Bots haven't ruined this one yet. Is this a sign of progress?

Perhaps I treated the RTX 3060 too harshly. 12GB VRAM with a 192bit memory bus was very generous for it's time, and now in 2025 is showing it's dividends.

First actual reviews of the Intel Core Ultra 5 235 & 225F are in. They're not that bad for gaming (by Core Ultra standards) and even offer better FPS per watt than the 9600X, 7500F, etc. The Core Ultra 235 in particular is basically a 245K with a discount.

We don't want to play this Tariff game of chicken over and over. The uncertainty of it all won't help PC part prices (mainly US) in the long run no matter where they originate from. Maybe prices will stay elevated to account for any possible future reversals in tariff policy?.

Vega 56 and Vega 64 have returned haha. Would love to see someone test the long term viability of a RX 9070 BIOS flash mod. I remember doing it for my Vega 56.

Life update:. I'm officially looking into moving to Denver Colorado this summer. My time in Kansas City could be coming to a close soon.

As I alluded to yesterday, expect to pay more for PC components in the coming months because of Tariffs. HYTE doesn't make any CPUs, GPUs, or specific hardware that uses mainboards, they're mostly cases and cooling, and yet prices for these components will go up too.

It seems I offended a lot of people last video because I said LGA 1700 is a dead socket (because it is).
