A medium-sized autobiography to help you understand what I’m about: -grew up homeschooled in what I call wave 2 (00s/10s) in the Southeast -grew up with 2 subcultural influences: UMC striver and conservative Christian homeschool subcultures, that were at odds with the

Women’s clothing is designed for the female form but not the female life
When you think about it, it’s very odd that many women’s clothing brands have no maternity or nursing clothes, that maternity/nursing friendly is not a common tag/filter, and that maternity clothes that are not nursing friendly are commonly sold.

So many little aspects of our culture reveal an attitude towards pregnancy as a 1 time thing that may affect a single year of life, or 2 if you’re bold, and then ends, rather than a natural and recurring part of a long life stage women go through for decades.

If there is anyone qualified to host such an event it’s me. Is a Moody x Cantius singles mixer really such a pipe dream?
Religious people, I know you aren't going to like this, but the FUTURE OF OUR NATION DEPENDS UPON IT. We NEED the femmed-out non-denom mega churches co-hosting Singles' Night with the hoe-scaring schizo-coded male-filled trad churches

I have a quasi-Calvinist approach to selection effects. Of course there’s no benefit to being in that group, just the type of people who join the group are skilled that way. But on the other hand, I must join, to prove to myself that I am innately skilled in that same way.

I never understood the name Crumbl for a cookie brand. It’s advertising the lack of structural integrity of the product, like naming your ice cream joint Melty Scoops.

The most virtuous people, when they realize they are in vice in some area, immediately turn away from vice and choose virtue. That's admirable but daunting. For the rest of us, sometimes the path towards virtue is more like finding a life inflection point in the near future and

It's helpful every now and then to tease out these mismatches in the values you think you have vs what you actually live by

The solution is probably to change out peers a bit when needed to align more with my principles, rather than being annoyed at myself for being insufficiently steely in resolve

It was delicious but about as much effort as those cream-of-this-n-that crockpot dump recipes, just a little fancier.

I steamed a bag of spinach and a drained jar of artichoke hearts in a pot, stirred in some herbed goat cheese and a splash of heavy cream, and seasoned with garlic powder and oregano. I used kitchen shears to cut up big pieces remaining after steaming.

Is there even a greater feeling than making a very simple dish on the fly that your husband really likes? Yesterday I was tired and a bit short on time for a grocery run + making dinner before church, so I whipped up a very simple spinach + artichoke side dish.

Asking if you believe in Jesus Christ and if you ever wonder why there are so many different churches? Talking about God’s plan and personal revelation and answered prayers? Mormon

Talking about how oneness with God lets you have power and intuition to learn the truth, to love God and your neighbor, rather than being misled by muddled human language or institutions like organized religion? Rastafarian

I have the finely tuned palate of a sommelier but rather than identifying fine wines I can identify subtle distinctions in cryptic evangelization attempts by Uber drivers from Christian-offshoot denominations.
