The planning application is not yet lodged, so this is not about giving formal objections to the Council - but it is a chance to tell the developer, his architect and planning advisors how you feel about their proposal.

This is a session hosted by FM Developments, who plan to apply for planning permission to build high-density housing on the wooded plot (A1), with the aim of buying the land if they’re successful - and subsequently buy and build on the rest of the plots, too.

** REMINDER** The postponed consultation session by the prospective developer takes place this afternoon, Tue 12 December, 4-7pm at Heart of Newhaven (Anchor Room East) - you can drop in at any time.

It’s a small, but significant victory - doesn’t preclude planning permission being given for the development of the Ponds & woodland areas, but the TPO must be taken into account when planning applications are decided.

📣 GOOD NEWS! The Tree Preservation Order on the plots has been made permanent 👍 The vote was a tight 5 votes to 4 at the Council’s Development Management Sub Committee today (having been recommended for rejection by officers).
