Putting the knife in? Pointing out the sorry state of affairs. 🤷♂️ Like many have said many times, keeping the club going is just making its death slower. Bernard’s refusal to relinquish ownership is the ongoing problem. Another manager gone, coaches gone, is anyone left?

Scarcely believable where this club is heading. 15-16 years ago they were 2-3 promotions from the EFL and now they could be relagated to the Wearside League third division. Conceding nearly 6 goals a game on average with -74 GD. Time for that statement @seedorf77 ?
Last nights result Deerness 11 Durham 0 All we can do is apologise for the result they were obviously the better team but we let our selves down from minute 1 to minute 90 Hopefully we can analyse what went wrong and put in good display at home to Coxhoe on Saturday

@ChrisChicken16 You said it all in the first sentence. As I said, absurd. A potential owner would buy the club, invest in it, show interest in it, all things missing.

The club is doing a fine job of making itself look bad. I reposted someone else saying that the manager left, and he has, what’s false? The club is in disarray on and off the pitch, a once solid local club stripped of pride and purpose by an absent, disinterested owner.

⸻ 📢 Club Update The club confirms that Tommy Lowther has left his role as First Team Manager. We thank Tommy for his hard work and wish him all the best for the future. We can announce Jamie Hutton as our new First Team Manager, supported by Ian Thompson and John Burnikell.

@SaveDurhamCity A lot of ups and downs for Durham City in recent seasons, but sadly all the “ups” came last year under Wayne’s leadership. Since then, piece by piece, the club has drifted back into the shadows. For a side that was once a huge name in the non-league game, it’s sad to see.
