I had a fantastic day speaking at the career event my former school, Lornshill! It was nice to see students in the same position as I was a few years ago - love doing Art but have no idea where it can take them, I was glad to be able show them a few examples of possibilities!🙌

There has been lots of interest in artists and their paintings recently at Sauchie ELC so it was a visit to the local art gallery to develop this further! Can’t visit without a stop in the Cafe! 🖼️🧑🎨

We had families and staff attend the annual, local remembrance service on Sunday on behalf of all at Sauchie ELC. Our children have been discovering the meaning of remembrance and the poppy symbol.

Thanks to donations of spare change by families, and some fresh veg and lentils from @Morrisons we have made up 50 soup packs for our families as part of Challenge Poverty Week @CPW_Scotland @UNICEF_uk

We have been learning about needs and wants as part of our @UNICEF_uk Rights Respecting Schools Award, and have chosen a challenge for Challenge Poverty Week. We have collected spare change, and will be using this to buy ingredients for soup packs for our families @CPW_Scotland

All too often,we diagnose a young person when we actually should be diagnosing their environment. We need to look at their history of adversity,history of relational health. We put them in a system that they cannot adapt to then we punish them without diagnosing the system🧠🌱
