Coach no. M3 seat - 7 @AshwiniVaishnaw @RailMinIndia @rajneesh4n @CPRONCR @drmncrald

In no universe is it legal to mine rivers & river banks this way. What a ridiculous state of affairs for the River Ken as it flows through Banda Thanks @AshishsagarD for your relentless work on documenting this atrocity, & your attempts to stop it. cc @indiasandwatch @DM_Banda1

In Chhattisgarh’s Achanakmar Tiger Reserve Gram Sabhas emerge as bulwark against displacement. Satish Malviya writes about the Forest Department's continued pressure on villagers to relocate even after they have securing community forest rights. But they now stand united.

I am teetotaller so what gets me a high in life is when I see rural reporters, who report and write in non-English, advance and take keen interest in science and data journalism. So happy to meet @Satishvds, my ex-colleague at #SJAIConference2025. He reports from tribal villages.

@prdjharkhand @DumkaDc @JharkhandCMO @HemantSorenJMM

Floods have devastated Marathwada. Homes destroyed, crops washed away & livestock dead. This is the region that has already seen 520 suicides in the first 6 months of 2025. That's 3 suicides a day BEFORE the floods hit. Shudder to think of what's coming next

Employment-oriented schemes or initiatives that are powered by green energy provide sustainable employment to a large number of domestic women.government is withdrawing from those schemes and initiatives. Why is this happening? We tried to find out the answer but did not get it.

From cotton to cloth, khadi production employs 16 people, while mill production employs only 2-3 people per shirt. Also, solar khadi cannot match mill cloth in terms of price, but it generates far more employment at a much lower investment per employee.

A poor young man was brutally beaten on suspicion of theft, but when his pockets were checked, only two rotis and a small packet of salt were found. This heartbreaking incident from Satna, Madhya Pradesh, is a shame on humanity.
