Today, I participated in “Faith for Black Lives Matter” peaceful protest. As folks were walking onto the State House grounds, they played “Preach” by John Legend. It was so moving that tears ran down my face...#BlackLivesMattters

Yesterday, I had to tell an amazing woman and academic good-bye. @BlondeScientist will be moving to St. Judes Cancer Center to lead their HPV Vac initiatives. We had a special guest who made a surprise appearance to wish her well in her new role. @UofSCNursing @SC_CPCRN

This is the new “normal” for dissertation defenses- Dr. Bevel and his committee. On a positive note- virtual defenses mean that family members can now be a part of the process. It was great to see the Bevel family supporting their student!
