Hit 25 on my 5th character late last night! Started a BFD PuG and didn’t ask anyone to be 7/7 or for Gear Score, just that they can get in discord. Took 5 fresh 25s and 1 shot the entire raid in 40 minutes. Half the raid had never entered BFD because of people gate keeping… just

This is a great read for anyone concerned about the difficulty of the raid. It's a level up raid. It was hard for Race to World First (which was epic), but no raid in classic has ever been objectively hard tbh. Just some food for thought, I'm personally loving it either way

Being very honest, the goal is for very semi-casual guilds to kill SoD raids fairly quickly, especially these level up raids. I'm sorry if your guild wants a heroic-level challenge, but SoD just isn't that. The raid that went out last week was just very overtuned and far beyond

Droprate reportedly significantly buffed! It's still a VERY RARE Drop, but not a soul-crushing farm anymore! This was like on NA earlier and should be live on EU with the reset. No official blueposts about it yet and no new droprate confirmations

In case anyone missed that the lvl 40 raid is a "Level Up Raid". It won't be a challenge, and that's OK! We get to play new builds, discover new runes, get a completely new meta! There is no need to rush yourself to 40 to not "miss a lockout" because it literally doesn't matter

The "race" won't be much of a race for a guild like yours Drast. I said this in another reply but reiterating; making super hard content for these level up raids is not a goal here. You and yours will blast it likely no matter what. Normal players may struggle a bit, you won't.

No World Buffs completely takes away any sort of competitive gameplay at max level though. If there's a death in a speedrun it can ruin an entire run and I think that most people don't realize that was such a fun/high-stakes part of the game. Just add boon or take out dispel buff

I do agree that you mentioned people don't have to be forced to play Human or Orc, but the unfortunate reality with how min-max everyone plays Classic (to the detriment of fun sometimes), all competitive guilds are forced to reroll Horde for PvE, unless Paladins are somehow
