@Keir_Starmer That's great news, only as a former DPP I'd have expected you to know all about Sections 22, 23 and 24 of the Offences Against the Persons Act 1861 which already cover drink spiking (with life imprisonment for S22!) So what you're really announcing is another PR stunt.

I am so sad and angry. What message does this send to his victims? That their suffering doesn't warrant a jail term. Also very saddened about the implication his actions can be partly explained by his mental health issues. Most people with mental ill health don't harm others.
