I started my career in journalism at the now defunct Financial Times Deutschland, owned by G+J. When they shut it down, I remember thinking — digitalisation! There was no investment. 11 yrs later, it seems they’ve fallen victim again to that same lack of investment. What a shame

We live in Hansaviertel, Berlin’s smallest district. It was almost fully destroyed in WWII but in 1956 the area was rebuilt by architects incl Gropius, Aalto & Niemeyer. Groups tour here daily & I’m reminded how lucky I am to live in this unique postwar modernist housing project
