We really enjoyed meeting the author @SarahGriffithA who read her "Jack and the Genie" story to us. We then took part in a question and answer session asking sensible questions. We learned about drafting, editing and publishing - just like we do in literacy!

Year 6 loved celebrating World Book Day yesterday! They took part in a ‘Footy and Booky’ event live on Zoom and were completely inspired by the Author visit from @SarahGriffithsA! They created the most wonderful poems and speeches all about what makes their ‘heart sing’ 🤩

An amazing #worldbookday2025 in Year 5. We have been lucky enough to meet the author @SarahGriffithsA and listen to her story...The Lost Voices. We were inspired to write a speech about what brings us joy and perform them to the rest of the class. Plus we got to wear our PJ's!😀

What a fantastic World Book Day we have had in Reception today. We loved meeting Author Sarah Griffiths who re-told the story 'Sophie's Spectacles' for us with props! We made our own 'Magic Spectacles' and used our imaginations to go on a journey. Thank you! @SarahGriffithsA

Day 4: World Book Day Tour I had the pleasure of visiting St Mary's CE First School for the first time! Next I travelled back to Telford to visit @CaptWebbSchool and shared Tom's Gift with the whole school. It was amazing to share my new book and my 7 year journey as an author!
