The Smashing Machine (2025) isn’t your typical sports biopic. Benny Safdie directs Dwayne Johnson as MMA fighter Mark Kerr in a story of fragility, addiction & friendship. Less punches, more humanity.

Raoul Peck’s Orwell: 2+2=5 (2025) is a haunting essay-film linking Orwell’s words to today’s authoritarian reality. With archival footage, film clips, and stark visual reminders of doublespeak, it’s urgent viewing though preaching to the choir.

Good Boy (2025) flips horror on its head. A haunted cabin story told entirely from a dog’s perspective. Indy the retriever sees what his human can’t. A chilling, heartfelt debut about instinct, ghosts & loyalty. 🐕👻

“Killing Faith” (2025) throws DeWanda Wise, Guy Pearce & Bill Pullman into a supernatural Western that looks cool but never adds up. Great parts, weak whole. If you want coherence, look elsewhere. My review:
