Does anyone know of you have, say, one of those cardboard containers from chicken nuggets, whether it’s recycling, green bin or regular garbage? Maybe @GaryBaldwin705 would know?

@SarahDeeth @Enbridge I think it's actually my fault..this past March I replaced a failing old electric heat pump system and switched to a new gas furnace. It seems like it was days later gas prices started to soar.. 🙄

@SarahDeeth @Enbridge My gas bill went from around $85 to $200 for the same period of time from 2022 to 2023. Additionally, despite my dryer being broken for over a month, my electricity bill claims I used more electricity despite one of the highest consuming items being out of commission.

@SarahDeeth @Enbridge Yup my average bill n the winter is 150. Just got one for 350. I've highly reduced usage last month too. Turned the heat down to 65 every day.

@SarahDeeth @Enbridge I use the average billing and I’ve kept it under $140 in the winter. Granted my smaller Summer bills are a little annoying, but they help spread out the cost.

Anyone else getting these insane @Enbridge gas bills each month? And it just gets worse and worse every month? I’m baffled as to how they think people can afford this. My house is cold and my bill has never been higher. Does anyone know any alternatives? Can we cancel @Enbridge?

Of course, I would also like to add that the real winner was @yourtvptbo 's Zac (Or is it Zach? Zack?) who just killed it last night.

I know it's low right across the board, no matter which election it is. We need to change that. That's what I'll do next election. Volunteer for a non-partisan, "please use your vote," campaign. It's important. That, and adopting shelter pets.

Well, I am pleased to be proven wrong and see that voter turnout is now sitting at 40%-@alexbierk was correct to be optimistic. But it's still pretty low. It means the majority of PTBO didn't vote.

For the record though, I would fully support a monorail system here in the city. Why should that just be for Shelbyville residents?

And then I could be one of dozens of delegations at a city council meeting, and everyone legally has to sit there and listen to me. And I could collect petitions, and put a sign on my lawn. But no one would ever invite me to speak at Queen's Park or the HoC.

Like if my provincial or federal taxes go up, I feel sort of resigned to it. But if you tell me my local taxes are going up b/c the city wants to create the largest escalator to nowhere, I feel I have someone to call about something like that, & my elected councillor will listen
