At that point I spent 10 minutes logging into the pay portal on principle, to not let them continue to scoff like I was trying to cheat them out of 10 cents in front of my daughter. Like why is this harder than opening a bank account. Who is scamming you, @halfpricebooks (3) 😭

I foolishly was not carrying teacher id and didn’t realize my job discount card expired. I showed my active canvas courses and assignments with my name, and they literally would only take a damn paystub (2).

Lord @halfpricebooks must have a lot of moms faking being teachers to get a 10 cent discount on some ratty clearance books. I was total just treated like a liar in front of my kid for trying to RENEW my card (1) 😭

My 7 year old is a huge @neiltyson fan and wants to send him a letter about how she too wants to be an astrophysicist. Anyone know how? Also, he’s coming to Cincy in May…anyone taken a small child to see him live?

My students make me tear up almost every day with their vulnerability, talent, compassion, & genuine goodness. There’s a lot of yelling about divides, AI, students…but there are so many who want better, who are working outside the space of the Internet to make things better.
