Women aren’t going anywhere and we’re going to keep fighting back against this bullshit. We will take up space, demand respect, and do our jobs because that’s what we’re here to do.

It’s 2025 and long overdue for this sexism (whether it’s subtle or obvious) to end. Because this is really about power — who has it, who’s denied it, and who’s constantly forced to prove themselves and their worth.

Every day, women in every sector are routinely undermined, overlooked, and “put in our place” by men. Men are the default expert, the ones automatically taken seriously, and women are sidelined no matter their credentials.

Two weeks ago, it was an op-ed asking if women ruined the workplace. Yesterday, it was the President telling a female reporter “quiet, piggy” when she was doing her job. Today, it was a meeting where every question was directed to my more junior male colleague instead of me.

Some days, it’s hard to remember that change is possible — but not today. The House and Senate voted to release the Epstein files. Texas maps were overturned. We won New Jersey and Virginia and passed Prop 50. Tomorrow will be another fight, but today, let’s enjoy the wins.

This “deal” to fund the government does NOTHING to keep millions of Americans’ health care premiums from skyrocketing. This failure to act from both the Senate and House Republicans will have serious consequences for our community. I’m voting NO. https://t.co/qy95xaXjOW

The House on Wednesday night passed a bill that will fund the government through Jan. 30. President Donald Trump is expected to sign it later Wednesday night.

I always say that it will take all of us to build a democracy that works and we just took a big step forward thanks to millions of California voters. THANK YOU for voting yes on Prop 50 so we can hold Donald Trump accountable and level the playing field. We won’t let you down.
Decision Desk HQ projects Proposition 50, the Congressional Redistricting Amendment, passes in California. #DecisionMade: 11:05 pm ET

Amazing win by @ZohranKMamdani tonight. He showed up every day as his authentic self and brought everything back to his core message of affordability. Looking forward to seeing what Democrats learn from his campaign and his leadership in NYC!

Congratulations to my colleagues past and present @SpanbergerforVA and @MikieSherrill on their resounding victories! The story of tonight is that voters want us to relentlessly focus on affordability. Can’t wait to see everything that you deliver for your states!

Today is the day!! It’s Election Day in California. Your ballot should have arrived in the mail. If you still have it, get it turned in today! If you already have, thanks for doing your part.

“Young(ish)” feels right as I pull another gray hair out of my head…
Who, beyond the well-known and much-profiled Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Zohran Mamdani, and Jon Ossoff, are the young people most likely to rebuild the Democratic Party? The bright lights of the next generation don’t fit into easy classifications. They include a seminarian, a

I’m so proud to be part of this new generation of leaders fighting to lower costs on everything from egg-freezing and IVF to child care and housing. We need a bold vision that delivers real solutions and we need leaders who will meet this moment. https://t.co/MwlRtpB3TA

Donald Trump’s DOJ reeks of bias. He replaced lawyers with loyalists. He made DOJ push and drop investigations. He pressured DOJ to go after his critics. “Election monitoring” of Prop 50 — that has the explicit goal to check Trump’s power — isn’t well-intentioned; it’s a threat.
EXCLUSIVE: MeidasTouch has learned President Trump plans to send Deputy AG Michael Gates to Southern California to “monitor” the Prop 50 election — a move experts call deeply problematic given Gates’ political ties in Orange County.

Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio have all changed their maps to benefit Trump in the midterms. Now California MUST do the same to level the playing field. That’s why it was so great to have @gavinnewsom in San Diego to motivate everyone to vote YES on Prop 50 by Nov. 4.

If you’re sifting through your kids leftover Halloween candy and have no idea what’s actually in it, I have good news! I introduced the No Tricks on Treats Act to label dyes, flavorings, and sweeteners in food so you can easily understand what’s in it. https://t.co/EHJ7xMJ90O
