Seriously, one of you out there must know someone who sells pizza and wants to sponsor a stupid music podcast.

I wonder why police are treating this protest differently than every other protest. No police accountability ..... And you wonder why Police violently brutalize Black, Indigenous, & Disabled folks. Trust your eyes 👀 folks

In 2019, I wrote another piece about this violence, and the ways it expresses itself. Between 2018 and 2019, of course, nothing changed. Things have just gotten worse, and far right forces have gotten better at channeling this anger. https://t.co/Jkg7ok80Rr

One of the reasons i listen to @TheCurrentCBC is because you can hear the power the government has over the public broadcaster based on when and how fast they put federal ministers on the air.

they are doing a lot of strategic work to blame unmitigated white supremacist violence on calls for defunding when in reality the absence of their violence against the convoy marks a presence of their immense discretionary power.

when I say cops operate exactly like an abusive partner, I mean they will use their power to coercively control the narrative of their violence to blame their target. It's the same playbook in intimate abuse and the preferred framing that more funding will solve police inaction

In 1995, Dudley George was killed by a police sniper after three days of occupying land near his traditional territory that had been taken by the federal government. I have been thinking about him a lot these days—especially when I see photos of protesters in hot tubs.
