Dear valve @CounterStrike - the idea of removing the mrq/rmr is actually good. But only if you actually sorted the circuit and made it a demand to host qualifiers for every ranked event. The fact that every tournament is pure VRS invite, makes this a horrendous change. Step up…

I like the idea of all events building up to the season’s biggest tournament (even if I liked LAN RMRs), but every event needs way more open Q spots. The new 2025 VRS “open” circuit is way more closed than CS has ever been. Very dangerous for T2-3 orgs with no hope of Majors.

Very disappointed to see that the MRQ will be held online again, both from a viewer and game integrity perspective. The MRQs are among the best tournaments each year from a viewer’s point of view — such big emotions and so much on the line for both players and organisations.

Online CS integrity is a crucial topic. I’ve reached out to most teams, TOs, and Valve this year to push for stricter security. A lot has improved (cam on monitor, 1 monitor etc), but there’s still a long way to go. Even MRQ would've lacked real security without our united push.
