Fantastic to see Ryan Porteous given the opportunity to play on the biggest stage. A great opportunity for him to impress against a good side. Will not shock me if he attracts interest this summer if he has a good tournament. #WatfordFC

Feels like two points dropped to be honest. Think the absence of Kyprianou showed how important he is to this team in midfield, albeit we also didn’t create enough going forward. A lovely goal from Bola, but wanted more from that. #WatfordFC

A solid point away from home I think. The application and performance levels under Javi have improved dramatically, and we look like a much more cohesive & organised side. Desperately need that away win, but I think we’re slowly making some progress. #WatfordFC

More #WatfordFC thoughts: •Front two excellent. Constantly caused problems. •Kyprianou back to his best. •Big save from Selvik in first half. •All three goals excellent. Assists in the first half from Baah & Ngakia very good. •Hope Vata is okay. Injury only negative.

Mamadou Doumbia was exceptional today. Didn’t stop running, worked incredibly hard and was a threat all afternoon. A great strike for the last goal (although it’s been given to Kjerrumgaard), and worked really well in a front two. Big potential. #WatfordFC

One of the most complete performances I’ve seen from #WatfordFC in a long time. Every player outstanding, all three goals brilliant, and game management very good. Javi got the line-up spot on, and tactically was perfect. Feels like a huge win. Get in 💛

Middlesbrough at home tomorrow. When Bayo scored against them in the last minute in 2023, Watford were then managed by Rob Edwards who now manages Boro, who were then managed by Chris Wilder who managed Watford later in the same season. #WatfordFC

Some more #WatfordFC thoughts on today: •Doumbia has impressed me this week. Movement excellent. •As frustrating as the game was, plenty of positives from a creativity point of view. •Louza v good. Thought Kyp back to his best too. •Defending in the first half-weak.

An incredibly frustrating game from a #WatfordFC point of view. Really poor in both boxes in that first half, while Coventry took all of their chances before taking their foot off the gas in the second. We’ll struggle to come up against a better goalkeeper all season though.

Must clarify, by encouraging I mean we worked it into good areas and created chances. Finishing incredibly poor though.

A bizarre half of football, but just as it seemed that #WatfordFC were working their way back into it, we shoot ourselves in the foot again. Encouraging signs going forward, but if you don’t take your chances and defend like that against top of the league you get punished.

No team in the Championship have picked up more points from losing positions than #WatfordFC this season (11). Watford also have the joint best home record in the league with Hull and Middlesbrough (13 points).

Some more #WatfordFC thoughts on today: •Second-half much better. •Abankwah & Bola impressive. •No clean sheet in 17 games- a bit concerning. •No Baah again- imagine the frustration is increasing. •Doumbia brilliant when he came on- could see him starting on Saturday.

Imran Louza VS West Brom: Chances created: 4 Successful dribbles: 100% Accurate long balls: 100% Ball recoveries: 3 Goals: 1 Another ridiculously good display from Louza, with an excellent goal too. Showing again why he’s of the best players in the Championship. #WatfordFC

Always special to win under the lights at the Vic. Louza exceptional, Doumbia superb when he came on, and a well taken goal from Vata to win it. Felt that was really needed. Get in. 💛 #WatfordFC

Missteps galore with the comms this season. Being clear that we were gunning for promotion, labelling Pezzolano a specialist, the "intensity" campaign, over egging Gracia's return. All have contributed to unrealistic expectations when we have a very inexperienced squad #WatfordFC

Genuinely struggling to breakdown anything from today’s game that hasn’t already been said this season, or over the last 5 years for that matter. The issues sit way beyond whoever is sat in the dugout, and nothing will change until those issues are fixed. #WatfordFC
