Ultimately think the Bucks can compete in the East at their best with this roster fully healthy. The problem is you can't just completely fall apart when Giannis misses games (and he typically misses ~15 per year), because it puts you at such a disadvantage with playoff seeding

Full Braylon Mullins breakdown for UConn, ~39 minutes, on his game vs Kansas. Thought he was awesome off-ball, knocked down shots, had a nice drive off of a closeout, also thought he was solid on defense for it being tough road environment in Game 1-ish https://t.co/d9xrjRgRQj

If you think Jalen Johnson's shot improvement this year is in any way real, it's a pretty terrifying combination to pair Giannis with him. I'd probably just bet on JJ continuing to get better given that he has every single year he's been in the league.
@Sam_Vecenie Do you think that it makes sense for them when they have JJ to build around? I understand, that this on the other hand might be a once in a lifetime chance to get an MVP player.

lol the Hawks just keep winning with this New Orleans trade. They get the BEST of the Bucks or Pelicans 2026 first rounders. If Giannis is real about getting out now, do think Atlanta is about as well positioned as anyone asset-wise to make a run at him.

As promised, did a Braylon Mullins breakdown on his first full game for UConn. 17 points, five rebounds in 23 minutes in a big road win vs. Kansas. The off-ball movement, the ability to play and think at speed simultaneously, the shooting. I'm a huge Mullins fan.

Pretty staggered by the choice to send Chris Paul home. Fascinated to learn more about this in coming days. CP3 obviously hasn't looked quite up to the NBA standard this year but pretty stunning that they'd send someone this respected home.

Henri Veesaar has been superb for UNC so far. Think he's been pretty darn close to as good as Caleb Wilson over the totality of their three high-major games. Skilled 7-footer who can shoot and be versatile in ball-screens. Useful player and a real draft prospect, IMO.

The music and the edit definitely helps but honestly, the whole Cam Newton video talking about Keon Coleman is also hilarious and great. Newton's legit very talented in front of a microphone.

Braylon Mullins can hoop, guys. Very exciting to see him get rolling like he did earlier in this game against Kansas. Probably will do a video breakdown on this one for tomorrow on the substack.

Credit to Florida for getting ahead late and fighting. Just absolutely blitzed the offensive glass. A truly bizarre game where Duke’s guards no-showed outside of Evans and somehow Florida stayed alive while shooting 37 FG% and 25% from 3. But hey, Duke held its nerve and won.

Came into the year thinking Michigan State was going to be one of my least favorite teams to watch in the country but I’m a full convert after a month. I love this team. Cooper kinda rules. Fears has been great. A TON of wing athletes. Kind of a perfect Izzo team.

Boozer's just dominating Florida lol. Completely wrecking them. Good showcase for Haugh that half, too.

Also, can't emphasize enough how impressed I've been with the leap Jeremy Fears Jr. has made. He's been so good to start the year for Michigan State. To me, he's the biggest reason they've been awesome to start the season. Feels much more simplified with his decisions.

The big question for Bennett Stirtz entering this season is how effectively he can get paint touches against high-level athletes. Michigan State might be the toughest matchup he faces all season, but that first half was not a great endorsement of him being successful at it.

We talked a bunch about Collin Gillespie on the show today. My biggest unsung hero of the NBA season so far for his team. So tonight, what did he do in a big spot with Devin Booker getting hurt? He dropped 28/5/4 for the Suns in a win over LAL. An awesome, underrated player.

I think the Lakers are basically a trade away from being pretty real contenders, and I don't think the trade might need to be as significant as others think. Their offense is absolutely sick, both in terms of talent and structurally.
