It was such a rewarding experience to be a part of the @unimelbRDU 3MT finals today! Had the pleasure of meeting amazing researchers and hear about the "stories" of their research!! 😊 (And also meeting some adorable fur babies after the talks)!.
And to @UniMelbMDHS PhD Candidate @SamThakur95, our runner-up! Congratulations -- your engaging and fascinating analogy of the Trojan Horse in understanding invasive Salmonella has really stuck in our minds, as did your brilliant your use of the stage space.

Thanks a bunch to the #MicroSeq2023 committee for giving me this exciting opportunity! Always a pleasure to be part of the Microseq family!.
One of the many #Salmonella serovars is Salmonella Virchow. Through analysis of 413 genomes, 2nd year Ph.D. student @SamThakur95 shows multiple lineages, STs, pathogenicity islands, and virulence factors. Few AMR mechanisms. #MicroSeq2023
