I’ve got loads of lemons and loads of eggs, and am tempted to make lemon meringue pie. Haven’t had it for years - is it as good as my childhood memories suggest or just another over-sweet retro novelty pudding (i.e. should I just make lemon tart instead)?

A pan of late afternoon comfort. Fennel caramelised and then simmered with cannellini beans, potato, garlic and stock. Finished with plenty of seasoning and olive oil.
