Edge effect was as bad as I have ever seen this year. In the past we would see it in the first 16-24 rows. This year it was a lot worse. Tough to have good whole field averages if you had beans bordering.

Ears on the left were first year corn with fall applied anhydrous. Ears on the right were from a field I decided to go C/C in April with spring applied N. Planted within a few days of each other. A mile apart. Should have went to beans..

6 random ears in a C/C field in Webster county. Safe to say it’s not going to be a record year.

Same story different year. In 2020 we had a 250 bushel crop come June, rain turned off and ended up being 175 bushel corn. 2022 is looking to repeat 2020.

I don’t post on any social media very often but I keep wondering why don’t we treat social media like alcohol and tobacco? Set an age minimum where it is against the law to be on it before 18. The harm it is doing is just as bad if not worse than those two.
