All this means is the culprits are gonna be benched more in future. No idea why people do this beyond feeling a sense of entitlement to play an event someone else has grafted to make.

Very excited for this tomorrow!! Hopefully will get to bring max silliness. I don’t want people to donate lives for me but DONATE IF YOU CAN :D. also comment if there’s someone in event you want me to charitably murder and i might try and do it but you didn’t hear that from me….
In 23 hours time, the cost of revives will be raised, and each player will be given an extra 4 respawns!. I repeat, you only have 23 hours to donate and give your favourite streamers extra lives before the price rises from £40 to £65. IMC x OSR x MAW UK takes place in 29 hours!

Moving on from the yapping, would love to hear what people's ideal events going forward would be? What kind of teams and players? What kind of games - would they be minigames or an entirely different format? What would the goal be? etc etc :D.

A lot of (read: not most) higher frag players play purely for themselves and bury their team in the pursuit of high individual placement; the old 'Iron Man' strategy kinda embodies this. It feels out of the event spirit and leaves bitter tastes while just being counterproductive.

The event scene is slowly improving on encouraging more diverse and inclusive rosters in all aspects. Where it isn't improving is in driving away lower frag players. I feel like the above may be partial contributors to this issue, but there is another issue at play:.

On the other hand I feel like pure parkour games are almost unilaterally the worst games in any roster - and are much more fun when they have a twist (E.G. PKWS, Blissful's Flee the Falling, or Cosmo's Trim Rush).

Similarly, team games are very difficult to execute well but are an absolute backbone for minigame events, and necessary to break up the high-skill mechanical monotony (PvE, Resource Management, Building, and Puzzle games are favourites that I love to see :D).

This still going strong so:. Social gaming is inherently fun and more events should encourage that aspect instead of prohibiting it. This is especially true for battle royale PvP games, but also games like Spleef or any full-lobby elimination game.
