@_amitbehere I joined one of the big 4 in 2000. Salary was 2.5 p.a (I got a clerk post on Tamil Nadu state at the same time, the salary was 6-7 k. I could buy a second hand apartment by 2006. The Indian IT industry was responsible for lifting millions into the middle class in 2010s

When I graduated in 2000, Infosys paid 2.5 lakh starting salary. Today they still pay the same salary for new graduates. No wonder Murthy is a billionaire. 😂😂😂

@_amitbehere The issue now is clients are opening GCC directly so these companies make less money (Senior level executives still make a ton of money without contributing much as well). But yes IT salaries and recruitment are getting saturated and that's a source of worry
