Shout out to the fancy private middle school that didn’t accept me because I said Sailor Moon was my hero and not something lame like George Washington.
Sailor Moon designs were always top tier
Especially the one with with the light pink skin and short hair. She can totally get it

Have you ever wanted to see the ORIGINAL Bandai pitch of Sailor Moon that was presented to American executives at Fox in the early 90s?
Learn all about it in the second episode of The Vault! Link in the thread! 🚨 Tonights all about SAILOR MOON
One of my critiques of the Sailor Moon remake, especially with Eternal, was that the character design didn’t show enough personality.
This fanart illustrates how far inserting personality in posing can elevate your anime:
There was a period of time in the 90’s when Toei made about 40 new Sailor Moon episodes each year, over five years. Plus three beautiful movies. What a time.
Sailor Moon collecting is a trip. The values of these figures vary in a wide range & the LARGEST is both cheapest & easiest to find. This plastic is worth 100% more than THIS other plastic, because art dealing. I feel like an art collector more than an anime fan.

Wedding Peach is one of the only other anime that feels like a true alternative to Sailor Moon.
In the 90s the competition was always between SM & Magic Knight Rayearth- but don’t get me started on how that’s an Isekai with completely different thematic elements.
A quick 🧵 where I gush over the attack sequences from WEDDING PEACH, a '90s magical-girl anime (w/ character designs by SAILOR MOON's Kazuko Tadano).
The 3 core characters' basic attacks are adequate, although they don't feel all that dynamic either.
PGSM is absolutely charming in its glorious writing paired with high school musical levels of budget. I am filled with so much joy upon every watch. It’s the purest spirit of Sailor Moon.
