Barn Owl Class have loved their morning with @CrossFitPembrokeshire. Thank you Coach Sam for teaching us new skills, we had so much fun!

We were so lucky to have John Roach come in to see us today and tell us his story of how the red dragon came to be on our flag. The children loved hearing the story and singing Welsh songs as he played the guitar. What a fantastic way to start Welsh week. Diolch yn fawr John.

A big well done to the members of Kingfisher Class who took part in the Urdd Football Tournament at Greenhill School yesterday. Both of our teams played superbly together and thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this health and wellbeing experience. Diolch yn fawr @UrddSirBenfro!

Eco Club have been busy clearing space for our new polytunnel. They have also been getting ready to take part in the RSPB Big School's Birdwatch.

We made posters to show different ways to keep safe online and what details we should never share. #SaferInternetDay2024

For Safer Internet Day 2024 we worked in groups to  discuss and present to the class different ways we use the internet. We were surprised that some of the games we play, or devices we use to listen music use the internet.

We planned and carried out our own independent science investigations as to whether or not the size of a turbine's blades has an effect on the amount of power it produces.

Kingfisher Class really enjoyed working with Sam, Amy and Cara from the Darwin Centre investigating climate change and renewable energy. @darwincentre

Barn Owl Clase have been learning about Stone Age art. They used different techniques to create their own Stone Age inspired pictures. Don't they look great?

In Kingfisher Class, we have been learning the 12 Chinese Zodiacs of the Chinese New Year using British Sign Language. Can you guess which animal is which?

Swan Class are enjoying their new class novel, The Lion Above the Door by @OnjaliRauf We love having our own copies and can't wait to read what happens next!

They made a routine with a partner by mirroring movements. We played symmetry games on Topmarks and made symmetrical 3D pictures using different objects.

Barn Owl Class have been developing their understanding of reflective symmetry. They looked at photos of butterflies and moths and painted their own beautiful pictures, taking care to make sure that each side is symmetrical.

In our ' Voice and Choice' time the question was asked on how to make the best sandcastle so this week we are starting to plan an experiment to find out.

Our topic this term in Robin Class is 'Seaside' and our story is 'Sharing a Shell'. We have been ordering the story, talking about what happens at the start and end. We have been using 10 frames to show our numbers and finding patterns.

We have had a great start back after Christmas in Robin Class. This week we've been using the Numicon to make pictures, thinking about which shapes we have used. We have tried to write some topic words and made snails using the play dough. What a fantastic start to the new year!

It was great to welcome Mr Wilkinson from @MusicPembs back to Swan Class for the start of our First Experiences Music sessions. We all enjoyed learning to play the pBuzz! Diolch!

Barn Owl Class are excited to be back after the Christmas holidays and begin our new topics! We read the story The Stone Age Boy and acted out some of the different scenes. In maths we have been exploring symmetry in shapes and patterns.
