When a Muslim dies, 40 mu’mins (righteous/pious Muslims) should pray the funeral prayer. However, only Allah knows who is a mu’min. All mu’mins are Muslims but not all Muslims are mu’mins and Allah knows best. It could be that out of 100 Muslim men, only 1 person is a mu’min.

Regularly call upon Allah using Ya Arhamar Rahimeen (Most merciful of those who show mercy) and Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum (Living and self subsistent),
