Our approach to firearm injury prevention focuses on the importance of secure firearm storage. Partnering with @Everytown and #BeSMART, we’re working to prevent tragedies by educating parents & caregivers on how secure gun storage can protect kids and communities.

This year, we partnered with the Honorable Ann Brown, former Chair of the @USCPSC, to distribute 36,000 gun locks in the nine states with the highest unintentional child shooting rates! We’re working to reach communities at greater risk of preventable injuries.

In rural communities, limited access to education, safety resources, & emergency services provide unique challenges. Factors like distance to recreation centers, different cultural beliefs, & hazards from machinery, livestock, & poor infrastructure can also increase risks.
