When we talk about #SafeAndJust boundaries, we’re talking about the limits for the planet to not just survive, but thrive. Whether it’s our work on aerosol pollutants, or our research into nutrient cycles (fertilizers), health is at the core of all that we do. #WorldHealthDay

Last week we co-hosted the #TippingPoints webinar, ‘AMOC Tipping Point: Impacts on Climate and Extreme Events’. The AMOC plays a crucial role in regulating Earth’s climate but recent research suggests this vital ocean currents system may be closer to collapse than once thought.

A new working group within the Earth Commission will define the first ever #SafeAndJust boundaries for the ocean. 📷. The ocean is crucial for life on Earth, but it is under threat. Pollution, climate change, and overfishing are taking a toll on marine ecosystems.
