I found that the more I greeted students in the hallway, the more they made eye contact with me… and the more they initiated a greeting with me the next day. It’s usually not that hard to make connections with kids… but the adults need to be willing to take the first step.

Canva’s new AI tab is beautiful, helpful, and free for education. It’s also not called magic, because it’s designed based on algorithms and models. Schools can choose to enable for teachers or everyone. Love it! 😍 #Canva #AIedu #CanvaEdu

Your kid's behavior today is not indicative of the adult they're going to become. It doesn't mean they’ll meltdown when someone cuts them in line at the grocery store. It doesn't mean they’ll yell at their boss. Kids don't have the skills to regulate their emotions … yet.

I need people to understand how difficult it is to get an NIH grant. You spend months writing a proposal, following strict guidelines that include a detailed multiyear budget, bios of everyone on your team, plans for participant safety & ethical conduct. Then you send it off -1/n
