It’s maddening how people feel nuance needs to be stated in every conversation versus conversations where necessary. Which leads to the “intellectual elitism”allegations from people that can’t comprehend, because they’re not even the target audience for this line of thought.

I think “Nuance” is killing intellectualism. Nuance now feels more like a glorified version of overthinking out loud. Part of being an intellectual is knowing that the nuance is accounted for, but doesn’t change the structure of the argument or statement, without saying it.
