I've been noticing that, especially if not exclusively with white, when I enter into endgames it's often a pretty even position; material has just been traded off. Does anyone have any opening recommendations that allow a bit more tactical nuance and play? #chesspunks

Back on track today with a solid Rapid game! Just a pawn up but much better positionally when my opponent resigned knowing they'd offered an exchange they came out worse in! Most of my wins lately aren't going past 20 moves but I'll certainly not complain! #chesspunks

Matched my highest score in 3 minute puzzle rush, hit close to my highest in 5 minutes, but mid twenties today in Survival! Bit of a mixed bag of chess all round today, games and all, but sure when is it not! #chesspunks

Lost my first Rapid game in eight today. Completely missed the threat of mate on the board, when pretty standard counterplay to it would have had me up a piece! Ah well, sure the losses teach more than the wins! #chesspunks

I usually start my puzzle training with 10/20 custom/unrated ones to go off pure instinct and see how I fare, then do five rated puzzles and deep dive into the thinking!... Yesterday I forgot which set I was doing until I saw my rating plummet... whoops!! #chesspunks

Just played the Caro-Kann in my Rapid game and thought "finally, I can sac the bishop on f7!"....missing that my opponent just blundered their knight! Sod's law meant I soon blundered mine trying to recover what I thought was mate... still won! 1200 is 2 wins away! #chesspunks

Going to add a daily Puzzle Rush 'survival' attempt to my routine alongside my general daily rated attempts limit. The high score streak of 46 was magical but I'll chase it down too! #chesspunks

Played what I thought was a really solid Rapid game today but sadly lost on time. I had 28 seconds in an even position admittedly on my opponent's move...once they moved I had just over 3 seconds left! Don't know what happened, disappointing overall but we keep going! #chesspunks
