Touching story of Dr Lynham’s family. In a country like ours, everyone should have access to clinical trials. More money and one stop shop aren’t the answers. This requires cultural reform of the whole sector. Who is in charge BTW?

As Australians face roadblocks to find clinical trials, doctors are calling for a reform of the system to improve access to potentially life-saving studies.

With only about 10% or less natural leaders, all the values and purpose need to be instilled by design. First step could be to implement team framework/ checklists to build teams. What we have now is a variety of pyramids- collection of individuals led by scapegoats.
Why respect is a massive issue at work. Research shows that for employees, “feeling respected” is 17.9 times more powerful a predictor of an organisation’s overall culture score than the average factor (& almost twice as strong as the 2nd most important factor, supportive

Congratulations Mei. Great recognition of your work on equitable cancer care.
Congratulations @yapml - fantastic recognition of all that you do. And if any award is worth winning, it's one that recognises Improving Equitable Outcomes through Cancer Research. That one goes straight to the pool room.

Great debate to raise awareness of the need for networked and collaborative cancer care system.
#COSA24 debate: To centralise or not centralise, that is the question... should the tail wag the dog? Result: Team "For Decentralization" won! At end of debate we all agreed delivering the best care for pts requires collaboration, flexibility & understanding for all involved.
