"Jedi can be tricked, my young Padawan," Obi-Wan said. "They can be wrong. They can make mistakes. Do not forget that. We try to minimize those things by following our feelings and connecting to the Force. Yet we are not infallible."

Anakin treasured his Master. But sometimes he wondered what it would have been like to have Qui-Gon as a Master instead. Would Qui-Gon have shared his feelings more easily? Anakin had felt a connection to Qui-Gon from the start. It had taken more time with Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan had never seen such speed. Even he could not fully track his apprentice’s movement. Balancing on the lip of the cruiser, faster than sight, Anakin reached in and grabbed the transmitter from Omega’s clutches. "Whoops, no more button," he hissed at Omega.

He is so different from me, Obi-Wan thought again, bemused. If he is so different from you, why do you treat him as though he is a younger version of you? Why do you act as you think Qui-Gon would have acted with you as his Padawan?

Ferus thinking he can guide Anakin, claiming he’s concerned for him at times. But he never once pointed out that controlling your emotions in battle was needed. I can see why Anakin found him judgmental. How was his attitude helpful to a boy late to training?
"Good fight," Ferus said, sticking the training lightsaber in his belt. "Except for one thing." "What one thing?" Anakin asked, irritated. He wiped the sweat off his forehead with his sleeve. Ferus only smiled. Then he walked off.

Oh and one more thing...I'd have liked the rest of Kyle Katarn's adventures in Novella form and audio drama. Plus wrap up the Tales of the Jedi full audio dramas of the comics. They ended in mid sith war!

Things I'd have liked to have instead of that long NJO: A book about Dooku & his fall. Another Obi-Wan/Anakin adult book. Another Qui-Gon/ Obi-Wan book. The Mara, Ben & Luke book. The Leia book AC Crispin wanted. The new Jedi during Academy early years. So many possibilities.

Don't get me wrong: to me Chewie dying was as effective and dramatic as Kenobi in ANH. But it dragged on too long, fridged too many characters, and destroyed hope when it destroyed Jacen Solo. Before Disney, that subversion chased a chunk of the fan base away.

Here is a truth people will disagree with me for, regarding Star Wars. The NJO era was a cash grab. We could've had loads of prequel. Few of them have the inspiring hope of the movies.

🤔The comic adaptation for Han Solo at Star's End wasn't very good. Not accurate. Splinter of the Mind's Eye was better. But it would've been interesting to see that trilogy, & Lando's as accurate adaptations. Vuffi, the mindharp, life crystal orchards, the robots of Xim...

Vuffi Raa. The description in book and the image in New Essential Guide to Droids matches pretty well. The novel cover looks more like an astromech. I tried to draw him as a kid & the odd shaped foiled me every time. Credit to the illustrator, Ian Fullwood, for pulling it off!

The joy of the Star Wars Expanded Universe isn't if are they all perfect. Of course they aren't. The real question is, are they true to the core values and mythos of the Star Wars movies on which they were based.

Ben Quadrinaros, podracer FROM THE TUND SYSTEM. Tund was introduced in the Lando Calrissian trilogy, his enemy was a sorceror of Tund. I wasn't sure what to make of this guy when I first saw the The Phantom Menace.

Oh dear. My ‘for you feed’ is totally broken. I usually use that to find people I follow who post when I was sleep. Different time zones and all.
