Chris Piperno of Southwestern won Coach of the Year for the 2023 season. Back in late February and early March, Piperno led the Spartans to a seven-game winning streak. He was brought in and turned around the program which saw a total of six wins.

Devin Kastrup was named head coach of the Spartan men's basketball program in August 2019.
Kastrup, originally from Colorado Springs, CO, was a forward for the Southwestern Spartan basketball team from 2011-13.
