SSU included in county's $6-million commitment to mental health crisis teams

SSU student featured in magazine piece about college radio:

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Northern California made its way through Sonoma County this morning. The SSU team joined runners from the CHP and the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety as they traversed 7.3 miles through Rohnert Park, Cotati and Petaluma.

Congratulations to 2025 Sonoma Valley High School graduates Ivy Borloz and Noa Malone, who were awarded the Sonoma State University Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship, sponsored by Sonoma International Film Festival!

The SSU community came together May 29 to raise the PRIDE flag in honor of PRIDE Month, with the flag-raising honors performed by Xander Starling, a Cultural Heritage and Resources Management graduate student.

Seawolf Plaza was once again the site of SSU’s annual Scoops of Gratitude event on Thursday, May 22. Scoops is an annual spring employee recognition event that offers a fun atmosphere with frozen treats and lawn games such as cornhole and Jenga.

Big CONGRATULATIONS to all of our amazing graduates! .We’re still reliving the unforgettable moments from this past weekend from joyful cheers and warm hugs to tassels turned and dreams launched. We enjoyed celebrating all that you’ve accomplished!

The latest Sonoma State History Journal, “Propaganda, Preservation, and Perseverance,” features outstanding historical research and writing by SSU students, and showcases the incredible work of the student editorial team.

SSU Presidential Search Committee members toured the SSU campus on Monday, May 5, held an organizational meeting, and hosted a Presidential Open Forum where students, faculty, staff, and community members told the committee what they want to see in the next SSU president.

Open forum is from 1 to 3 p.m. May 5 on campus.

As part of Earth Week , Sonoma State students, faculty, and staff took part in the third annual Seawolves Dig In! on April 22. Volunteers participated in hands-on gardening projects across campus, planting trees and plants and working on restoration and vegetation management.
