@SSN_CMU my question is why aren’t they bussing students over in a fan bus of some sort?? would be a nice opportunity for those who want to go support but don’t have reliable transportation 🤷🏽♀️ would help us to get as many fans in Waldo as possible

It’d be pretty inspiring if Joe Labas can lead Central to a win at WMU. Remember, he transferred here b/c he just wanted a shot to play D1. He finally starts LY, then gets injured. Now his teammates are relying on him in a massive rivalry road game. Great opp for the captain!

I have no doubt that Labas will shine under the spotlight, sure it blows losing one of our guys but Labas is a great processor/decision maker I wouldn’t be shocked if we ran alot of RPOs and play action 🔥⬆️
Coach Matt Drinkall says QB Angel Flores (519 rush yds, 8 TD) is officially out with an injury for the WMU game. Joe Labas will be the guy at QB against the Broncos. Massive opportunity for Labas to lead the way, his first chance to be apart of the Central/Western rivalry.

How do you defeat WMU? Call Dan LeFevour. He went 3-0 against them with two wins in Kzoo. All three wins were en route to MAC titles! 2006: 31-7 W 2007: 34-31 W 2009: 34-23 W His 3 combined gms: 58-96 (60%), 636y, 4 TD. 42 rush, 186y, 3 TD Dan LeFevour. Bronco beater.

Chippewas a slight underdog heading to Kzoo this weekend. I love that this rivalry is a standalone as the only MAC game Saturday at 4pm. 95 prior meetings, beginning 120 years ago, it deserves to be showcased. A special game that means a lot to so many people.

The last Central Michigan HC to win his first game against WMU in Kzoo: Butch Jones. 2007. That was also the last time the Chippewas went into this game in November with one MAC loss or less. Central won 34-31 then went on to win the MAC title. More history in Kzoo Saturday?

The MAC is so incredible even this year. Outside of UMass every team has between 2 and 5 wins total and 7 teams have 2 or fewer conference losses still with a realistic shot at making it to Detroit if they win out. November mid week MACtion is about to be electric.
