Any society that resists allowing the dead to participate in natural cycles of decay is a post-humus society.

Sometimes, these folks do have serious issues. They may be manipulative, distrustful, paranoid, and controlling — or something else. In addressing a problem, or facing an opponent, we lose whenever we go in with a vague, or just wrong, diagnosis.

The owner thinks, “Wow! What a pay raise. If I actually got to go home with 40% of the gross that would more than quadruple my income.” A lot of folks want to assign the evil of greed to folks who are actually very modest in their withdrawals.
