Your health care team should never tell you, 'your DAT scan shows you have Parkinson's disease.' The message is that there is an abnormality in the dopamine transporter system which can suggest Parkinson's or other diseases. This 'list' is growing of diseases with abnormal DAT.

Just a reminder to check in with your trainees after these recent (horrific) shootings, especially if they are POC or have children. Make sure they feel heard, & have a safe space to express themselves. When possible, offer some time for self-care. Their mental health matters.
