A new study by Adam Eckerd explores the effectiveness of California’s AB 617 in reducing air pollution and asthma rates in targeted environmental justice communities, despite being promoted as an effective policy intervention.

Prior to her academic career, she served in a number of practitioner positions, including as a child protective investigator with the Florida Department of Children and Families and as a teacher in Marion County, Florida.

Dr. Carnegie received his B.A. in speech communication and rhetoric from George Mason University, her JD from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, and her Ph.D. in public affairs from the University of Central Florida.

Meet the unstoppable Vickie Carnegie! Dr. Carnegie is lecturer in the @sps_odu, where she serves as the MPA program director. Currently, she teaches courses in public administration, social equity, and administrative law.
