If this can happen to a president with secret service, if this can happen in Parkland with a cop assigned to our campus, if this can happen in Uvalde with hundreds of police. STOP TALKING ABOUT GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS AND START DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE GUNS.

So true!
When a child does not feel safe, it changes how they experience the world. They may sense danger where there is none, resulting in stress behaviors. You must look beyond the behavior if you want to help the child. #endseclusion

Every social-emotional learning program (SEL) program should begin by attending to (1) everything that harms the wellbeing of students at school and (2) everything that harms the wellbeing of adults at school--including racism, heterosexism, and other forms of oppression.
