Year 4 have been practising their weaving skills this week. Miss Create taught us the correct way to weave and how to thread our needles. We have learnt how to use a loom and have been practising weaving with different colour strings. Here are some of our pieces! @CreateMiss

Year 4 had a fantastic time making a range of healthy snacks for their D.T day! We practised our cutting, measuring and mixing skills, to help plan, design and evaluate a range of healthy snacks. We made fruity flapjacks, fruit skewers and fruity popcorn. @Cornerstonesedu

Everyone in school showed support and celebrated Children in Need today by dressing up in spots and bright colours! The school council lead a worship all about Children in Need and helped choose our competition winners. Here are our Spotacular winners.

This week, Art Club got creative with the colours of autumn! Using recycled glass jars, tissue paper, and a little imagination, the children made beautiful autumn candle holders. They carefully layered shades of orange, and yellow finished each jar with natural raffia bows.

This morning, we gathered for a special Remembrance worship.Together, we paused to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve in times of conflict. Through prayer, music, and moments of silence, we remembered the fallen and gave thanks for peace

Y5 have started their new topic 'Investigating Our World'. Throughout, they will explore maps and this afternoon have been exploring OS maps which show their local area. They identified where Tipton is as well as the nearest cities and villages.

Y5 visited the National Memorial Arboretum to carry out an act of remembrance. Children read the poem “Flanders Field” and took part in a minute silence. Whilst there, children had the opportunity to explore the different memorials, each with their own special significance.
