I've messaged through the platform 3x over the last 7 months. Responses are generic ("high submission volume, please be patient"). I've never pulled a paper. I don't want the reviewers' work to be lost, or to start over at a new journal. (2/3).

Academic Twitter: Any advice for dealing with a paper that's been under review at a journal for an extended period?. The first author is a post-bacc planning to apply to grad school this round. The paper was submitted in Sept. 2023. Reviews were completed in June 2024. (1/3).

Academia doesn't often allow for having both the dream position and being close to family, so I am incredibly grateful to be able to make this move!.

This news feels bittersweet as I've truly valued my time at Montclair State and worked with incredible faculty and students. Fortunately, I will be moving the @BefedLab to UToledo and I will mentor students through their Clinical Psych PhD program (likely starting in Fall 2025👀).
