🎤 James Roe presented at #WTC2025: “Bone Mineral Disease in Kidney Transplant Patients.” 🔑 Pre-transplant iPTH predicted post-KT heart failure hospitalization (HR 1.002 per unit, p=0.01) 🔹 No association for Ca²⁺ or 25-OH Vit D with mortality or MACE

🎤Cayden Lawrence presented at #WTC2025: “Association of Right Ventricular Strain with Cardiovascular Outcomes in Kidney Transplant Recipients.” 🔑RV free wall strain independently predicted post-KT MACE 💡Patients in the lowest RV strain quartile had higher MACE at ~12 months

🎤Ava DeLonais-Parker (@AvaDelonai6124) presented at #WTC2025: “Association of Left Atrial Strain with MACE Following Kidney Transplantation” 🔑Key finding: • Higher LA strain quartiles → better MACE-free survival #LeftAtrialStrain #KidneyTransplant #CardioTwitter #MedTwitter

🎤 Gavin Christy presented at #WTC2025 “Association of Antiplatelets with Cardiovascular Adverse Outcomes and Mortality in Kidney Transplant Recipients.” 🔑 Antiplatelets were linked to a reduction in a composite of all-cause mortality & MACE 🛡️ No increase in major bleeding

🎉 Congratulations to Emma and Anna from our research team for presenting their work at #NKF! 📊 In a cohort of 518 kidney transplant recipients, they found diabetes as the cause of ESRD was associated with significantly higher mortality and cardiovascular events post-transplant.
