The #SLMPD Environmental Investigations Unit is working to identify a suspect regarding multiple incidents of illegal dumping in the 4400 block of Sexauer. The suspect illegally dumped tree debris and other landscaping materials multiple times.

Moments ago, your @SLMPD officers spotted a carjacked vehicle recently taken from a delivery driver. Two adults were arrested after leading officers on a pursuit which ended in a single-car crash on Riverview near Edna. No serious injuries reported.

Four firearms were reported stolen, and one firearm was a privately made firearm and did not have a serial number. Last week, in a joint investigation with the ATF, District 6 officers arrested the 27-year-old convicted felon. He remains in federal custody. (2/2)

The vehicle struck two light posts, overturned and struck a parked vehicle here at Dr. King and Burd Avenue that was occupied by 5 people. The driver of the fleeing vehicle, an adult male, died on scene. No officers were injured. No SLMPD officers were involved in the pursuit.

The vehicle, a white Ford sedan, entered the city limits at a high rate of speed where it lost control and struck a median at Dr. Martin Luther King and Clara Avenue.

Just before 11:30 PM, an officer with the North County Police Cooperative requested assistance from our agency regarding a vehicle that crashed following a police pursuit.
