If you are asked to purchase gift cards to pay for bills, court costs, taxes, etc. it is a SCAM. Please share this information with friends and family members - and especially our older population, who can be more vulnerable to these types of scams.
#ScamAlert: A resident was advised they won the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes, but the caller 1st required them to purchase a gift card w/ their own money & to provide the caller w/ the gift card info. The gift card was alleged to cover fees/taxes. This IS a SCAM.
