This morning year 6 had visitors in to learn all about the Jewish faith, the children found out so much, asked some very insightful questions and tasted some delicious bread! 🥖 ✡️🕎🕍

Some of our Year 5 children visited the parish garden to do some gardening! They planted onions and were delighted to harvest some carrots! Thank you to Ailish, Mrs Wilde’s mum, for guiding and teaching them. More pupils will be able to visit the garden to help later in the year.

Faith Leaders led an important assembly about the charities we'll be supporting at St Joseph’s this year. Special thanks to Sarah and Caroline from Pegasus Riding for the Disabled who came to tell us how Pegasus Riding for the Disabled helps adults and children with disabilities.

Yr 6 had a wonderful year group mass this morning, under the theme of remembrances, thank you Fr Damian for helping us to understand how the Holy Spirit influences our lives 🕊️

Thank you for your generous donations to Re:dish's foodbank. Kelly's jam-packed car was filled with a whopping 210.7kg of items which will go a long way in helping the staff to support our local community. Well done to our Laudato Si Champions for organising everything.

Y6 Year six this half term has learnt how to ask and answer 'where are you from' in Spanish, and spontaneously start a simple conversation in Spanish. Really well done!

5LBU have been investigating which materials are thermal insulators in Science. During our investigation, it became apparent that metal was the most successful material at keeping drinks hot. Great effort!👏🏼
