Happy World Whale Day! Did you know whales play a HUGE role in fighting climate change? Their poop fertilizes tiny ocean plants called phytoplankton, which absorb carbon and produce oxygen. More whales = a healthier planet! #WorldWhaleDay #DYK 📸: Mark J. Palmer

Over 7M dolphins were slaughtered by the tuna industry. 🐬💔 IMMP exposed this in 1988, leading to the Dolphin Safe tuna label. Deaths dropped 90%, but fleets in Mexico, Venezuela & Colombia still kill. IMMP’s Dolphin Safe program is holding them accountable! 📸: Shutterstock

The oldest of these dolphins was only 15, bottlenose dolphins in the wild can live 40-60 years. It’s time we rethink keeping marine life confined and work toward a world where dolphins are in their natural habitat. 🐬💙
